Luis A. Toro, MD completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Toro then completed a fellowship in rheumatology at the National Institute of Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) which is at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesday, Maryland.
Dr. Toro is a rheumatologist with special training in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disease and systemic autoimmune conditions commonly referred to as rheumatic diseases. These diseases can affect the joints, muscles and bones causing pain, swelling, stiffness and deformity.
