After spending 13 years in the Navy Medical Corp as an orthopedic surgeon and before returning to the states I spent four months teaching Orthopedic Residents in Surabaya, Indonesia. Every day I saw orthopedic pathology that I had only read about. To this day it’s one of the most gratifying experiences that I’ve ever had. When I returned home to the states I knew I wanted to join a group practice somewhere near where I grew up in eastern Connecticut. I was also looking for the kind of orthopedic practice that shared my commitment to patients. I joined South County Orthopedics in 1995.
Within orthopedic surgery I consider myself a generalist. I enjoy being able to treat people suffering from orthopedic pain and discomfort regardless of the joint or area of the body.
