Dr. Goebel is a native of Council Bluffs, IA, and attended St. Albert High School where he participated in both track and basketball. Dr. Goebel majored in chemistry at Creighton University and entered medical school after just three years of undergraduate studies.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and went on to complete residency training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Goebel attended Louisiana State University for a knee and sports medicine fellowship program. Dr. Goebel treats all types of orthopaedic injuries, but specializes in knee, shoulder and hip replacements, arthroscopic surgery, general orthopaedics and all types of sports-related injuries.
