Dr. Matthew Bassan was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended the University of Maryland for his undergraduate studies where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (human movement). It was at Maryland where Dr. Bassan first explored his interest in the science of physical activity. The next step in his journey was to Nova Southeastern University in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida where Dr. Bassan attended medical school, obtaining a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) The route of osteopathic medical training provided Dr. Bassan the extra experience in hands on medicine and the ideology of treating the patient as a whole.
