Dr. Michael T. Shannon is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, Massachusetts) and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (Boston, Massachusetts), with honors. Dr. Shannon completed both his internship and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Barnes and Affiliated Hospitals, Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri in 1988.

Following this, Dr. Shannon was selected for an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery fellowship at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, with a focus in pediatric facial trauma and pain management. He is also the author of several published papers in his specialty.
