Michelle Yates, M.D. attended University of Illinois in Urbana and earned a B.S. in biology. She then attended Loyola University Medical Center for both medical and an Internal Medicine residency. During medical school she and LeRoy married and had their first child, Lauren. She and LeRoy later added Jordan and Jasmine to their family.

Michelle has been an emergency physician at Genesis Medical Center for the past 22 years. She views delivering healthcare in an excellent manner as an honor and a privilege.
