Richard Biggerstaff MD, FACS is a board certified facial plastic surgeon. He received his medical degree and completed his otolaryngology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and received his Otolaryngology Board Certification in 1984. He increased his training further by completing a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship, and received his Board Certification from the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1992. He is also a 2010 pending member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Specialists (ISHRS). He has also been inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Society.

In addition, Dr. Biggerstaff is an associate clinical professor at Indiana University School of Medicine and serves as the Community Hospital Pro Health Credentials Committee Chairman. He is trained in the most up to date hair restoration procedures, and has over 25 years of experience in helping people achieve the best outcome possible in hair replacement. He has given multiple and varied presentations on a variety of plastic surgery techniques and procedures both to his peers as well as to the general public since 1985.

    I have had 2 different occasions when he has done surgery on me. First surgery was tonsils and nose. Then recently my nose and ears. Both times there was no bruising and minimal swelling. Also, office visits are a positive experience too. He listens, cares and discusses options. I will continue to go there as long as he stays in practice.
