Dr. Samuel Snyder was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He graduated Summa Cum Laud from C.W. Post College of Long Island University and achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in both Chemistry and Biology. From childhood, Dr. Snyder knew that he wanted to become a surgeon so; of course, in college he was “pre-med”. While attending college he was president of the Chemical Society, founder and president of the Coalition of Science Societies, a senator in the student government, and Editor in Chief of the college literary magazine. During his collegiate summers he lead bicycle and backpack tours throughout North America.
