After earning a degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2002, Dr. Samuel Kashani completed a General Surgery internship and residency program at the University of California, San Francisco’s East Bay Surgery Program followed by a fellowship in Minimally Invasive, Advanced Laparoscopic, and Bariatric (weight loss) Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. A member of the American Board of Surgery, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Kashani received both the Patients’ Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award from 2012-2014. Recently, he has appeared on KOCE-TV’s (PBS) “American Medical Journal” explaining gastro-intestinal, hernia, oncological, and Bariatric surgeries.
