Dr. Sandra (Sandy) Stacey graduated from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with a BS in biology. In 2013, she achieved her VMD from Penn Veterinary Medicine and completed a small animal medicine rotating internship at VSCD the following year.

Dr. Stacey has been a full-time emergency clinician since completing her internship and returned to the VSCD team in 2015. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Delaware Veterinary Medical Association and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.
