He is the medical team director for the Sporting Kansas City soccer team (formerly the Kansas City Wizards). He has been with the team since the inaugural season in 1996. Professional interests include sports medicine, total hip replacement, and general orthopaedic surgery.He also performs Carticel® (autologous cultured chondrocytes) implantation surgery of the knee. This treatment uses the patient’s own cells to repair cartilage injuries in the knee.
