Dr. Mirkovic is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, concentrating on injuries and conditions of the spine, including the lumbar and cervical spine, spine arthroplasty, and operative management of the degenerative spine. Dr. Mirkovic is a spine consultant for the Chicago Bears and Chicago Fire. He is currently on staff at NorthShore University HealthSystem and Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

He is an active member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and has served on committees within the North American Spine Society, and the Spinal Arthroplasty society. In addition to receiving the Edward D. Henderson and Paul R. Harrington Orthopaedic Surgery Awards, he has also been given the Outstanding Spine Research Award from the North American Spine Society twice. Additionally, he has performed as a spine consultant on low back pain for the American Medical Association.

Extraordinary Doctor

Underwent 3 surgeries prior to 4th with Dr. Mirkovic. Over a period of 15 years saw many considered the best in the world. Dr. Mirkovic only one to diagnose facet joint problem. Watch his video. 8 hour surgery.. I simply cannot say enough positive. He is very thorough. If your fortunate to get an appointment with him give as much info beforehand.
