Steven Webster Atwood, direct descendant of the American orator and statesman Daniel Webster, is the founder of Animal Health Care Associates, Ltd., a mixed-animal general practice located on the island of Martha’s Vineyard.

Dr. Atwood graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1975 with a B.Sc. degree in Molecular Biology and graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (V.M.D.) degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. Dr. Atwood completed an internship in small animal medicine, surgery and critical care at the New Haven Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine in 1981. He received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of Health Sciences School of Medicine, St. John’s, Antigua in 2006 and his Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Public Health Practice from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and School of Public Health in 2011. He is Board Certified in Public Health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.
