I am a hand and reconstructive surgeon who focuses on most disorders of the wrist, hand and forearm and soft tissue reconstruction of the leg. I have a particular interest in taking care of patients with poor blood flow to the hand or problems with lymphedema (swelling in an arm or leg caused by a lymphatic system blockage). My approach to care involves informing the patient about their condition and the options for treating it, and then letting them come to a treatment decision based on their lifestyle, condition and needs. I trained as an engineer, but entered medicine because I wanted to work with people.
