Dr. Ted Ajax was born in Belleville, Illinois. He earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Fuels Engineering from the University of Utah. Dr. Ajax earned his Doctorate of Medicine from University of Utah in 1986. He completed his internship in 1987 and his residency in 1990, both at the University of Iowa Hospitals under John Tinker, M.D.Dr. Ajax earned a lifetime certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology in 1991. He voluntarily underwent board-recertification with the American Board of Anesthesiology in 2009. Dr. Ajax continues to receive advanced training and education related in the practice of clinical anesthesiology and pain management.
