Teo Mendez, M.D. is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon who focuses on both operative and non-operative management of sports-related injuries, musculoskeletal injuries and arthritis.Dr. Mendez is a native of Richmond, Virginia where he graduated high school from The Collegiate School. He then went on to attend the University of Virginia where he graduated in 2005 with dual bachelor degrees in physics and economics while also minoring in chemistry. He received his M.D. degree at Emory University School of Medicine in 2009. From 2009 to 2014 he served as a resident at the University of Miami at Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was the chief administrative resident for the department of orthopedics from 2013 to 2014. During his tenure at the University of Miami, Dr. Mendez participated in the care of athletes from the University of Miami and the Miami Marlins.
