He then went on to earn his medical degree and complete an Internal Medicine residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. During his residency, Dr. McCarthy was honored with the Nilesh Tamakuwala, MD Memorial Award, a distinction presented to the individual who best demonstrated compassion in care and excellence in teaching.

Dr. McCarthy Review

Dr. McCarthy was great. He took his time and so thoroughly explained my condition to me, causes, solution, etc. He asked me a few times if I had any questions. I never felt rushed at all, and typically doctors I've experienced speak really fast, are in and out, and I just feel rushed. Not with this doctor. He took his time, was friendly, and it was a pleasant experience which was great because it was a worrisome topic for me. I definitely recommend him if you have any hemotology needs.

A very well respected physician

I was referred to Dr. McCarthy by a very well respected physician and I was not steered wrong. A great Dr. that explains things clearly and went what I consider to be above and beyond the norm to ensure I understood my condition and answer any/all questions. I could not be more pleased!
