Dr. McConnell, President of Reconstructive Orthopaedics, graduated from James Madison University in 1992 and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1997. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Boston University Medical Center.He is currently only one of five active members in the Orthopaedic Trauma Association in Greater Cincinnati. In 2001, he received the Edwin G. Bovill Award for the most outstanding international scientific paper in orthopaedic trauma from the Orthopaedic Trauma Association. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society and a member of the American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. McConnell is board-certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and just recently completed his 10-year recertification exam.
