Dr. Zachariah earned his bachelor’s degree in zoology and D.V.M. degree from Michigan State University. He is also an alumnus of Louisiana State University, where he participated in an exotic pet and wildlife medicine internship and received his master’s degree in veterinary clinical sciences. He completed his Zoological and Aquatic Animal Residency through the University of Illinois, Brookfield Zoo, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the John G. Shedd Aquarium.  He has served as the Director of Veterinary Programs at the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida since 2010 and the Director of the Zoo’s Sea Turtle Healing Center since its inception in 2014. Dr. Zachariah’s monthly avian and exotic clinic is held on the first Monday of each month.
