Prior to joining TIC Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Kirk practiced in Charlotte for nearly 35 years. He is a native of Salisbury and a 3^rd generation North Carolina dental provider. Collectively, the Kirk family has provided dental care in general, orthodontic, and surgical dental care in North Carolina for over 91 years.   Dr. Kirk is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and received his oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Vanderbilt University, in Nashville, Tennessee. During his years in Charlotte, he maintained an active solo practice with hospital procedures performed primarily at Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy, and Novant Presbyterian hospital in Charlotte.  He helped develop  MRI imaging protocols of the temporomandibular joint with the Department of Radiology, CMC-Mercy in the late 1980’s.
