Dr. Yan Gu, MD, PhD is an outstanding physician who is double board-certified in interventional pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine to bear on treating patients recovering from pain. Dr. Gu received his PhD at Shanghai Second Medical University and did his postdoctoral fellowship in Hershey Medical Center at Penn State University. He finished his residency and fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and then spent the following two years at the Center for Advanced Pain Management and Rehabilitation in New Jersey perfecting his technique in administering PRP injections and various other interventional procedures. Dr. Gu has been at the forefront of the regenerative medicine movement and has seen the specialty evolve from the ground up. His intimate familiarity with both orthopedics and pain management provides him with a unique vantage point into how to identify the source of the pain and how to treat it in a way that minimizes discomfort and allows patients to continue living their lives as quickly as possible.
