Dr. Carlson is a native of Elsmore Kansas. He graduated from Pittsburg State University in Southeast Kansas and received his medical degree in 1988 from the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine. Dr. Carlson completed his internal medicine residency in 1991 and then a Medical Oncology fellowship in 1993. Dr. Carlson has been in practice in Kansas since 1993 and has 19 years of experience. Dr. Carlson is board certified in Medical Oncology and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Dr. Carlson joined the Cancer Center of Kansas in 2012. He is excited to be part of the Cancer Center and to bring high quality cancer care along with clinical research to the people of Northeast Kansas.
