Dr. Armstrong attended Davidson College in North Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He traveled South to the University of Alabama at Birmingham, attending medical school and completing a four year Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. While in Birmingham, Dr. Armstrong completed a rotating internship at Carraway Methodist Medical Center.
Dr. Armstrong then served as an Orthopaedic surgeon and Chief of the Division of Orthopaedics at Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico before returning to Alabama. Presently Dr. Armstrong is a volunteer physician at Medical Outreach Clinic. He also devotes much of his time to Magic Moments- River Region and was a chairman from 2011-2014.
