A long-time resident of Tennessee, Dr. McRae grew up in Chattanooga and attended East Tennessee State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She then went to Memphis State University for pre-med studies and received her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis in 1991.
Following her internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Indiana University Medical Center, Dr. McRae completed a fellowship in sports medicine and foot and ankle surgery at the Foundation for Orthopaedic, Athletic and Reconstructive Research in Houston, Texas.
Dr. McRae is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and golfing with her husband.
