Born in New York and educated in New Jersey, Dr. Kealey earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Ramapo College and his DMD from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Upon graduation he entered the United States Navy where he completed a General Practice Residency. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

His follow on assignments included positions as Director and Department Head at Naval Hospital Roosevelt Roads, aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, at Naval Dental Center San Diego and Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital. He retired from Active Duty in October of 2011 after 22 years of distinguished service to his country.
