Mark W Powell MD of Harrison Arkansas, is a double board certified orthopedic surgeon and a native of Fayetteville, Arkansas. An accomplished athlete and world class fly fisherman, he completed an orthopedic residency at the University of West Virginia followed by a distinguished sports medicine fellowship at Washington University in St Louis.

Dr. Powell is an advanced expert in arthoscopy and re-constructive surgery of the knee and shoulder, including knee replacement, fracture care, and sports medicine. He is a well respected innovator in orthopedics having designed a clinically-proven, patented splint for the treatment of plantar fasciitis. He has been practicing orthopedics in Fayetteville since 1997, has numerous professional achievements including UAMS Clinical Faculty Teacher of the Year 2000-2001, and is one of the Top 40 under 40 Professionals in Northwest Arkansas.
