Dr. Frisch graduated from the MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine (now Drexel University College of Medicine) in Philadelphia in 2002. He completed his surgical internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, also in Philadelphia. Then he moved across the country to complete a Spine Fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco.
Dr. Frisch won several awards for his work and studies, starting with the Anna Gayadas Merit Scholarship (from the MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine) in 1998. He also won the Maimonides Society Manuscript Competition Award for his contribution to Spinal Cord Injury and Current Repair Strategies. His most recent award was the EMC Resident Research Symposium Competition Award, which he won for his work, with others, on Mechanical Analysis and Diffusion Characteristics of PMMA and Methotrexate.
