Dr. Steven Tipps is a graduate of Baylor School where he played football, basketball and was captain of the track team. He graduated from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He received his dental degree in 1979 from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.

He completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Memorial Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Dr. Tipps has been in private practice in Chattanooga since 1983 with Associates in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, P.C.
