Dr. Schultz was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and graduated from St. Louis University. He completed dental school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he was the class valedictorian. Dr. Schultz completed his oral surgery residency at the Mayo Clinic in 1987 and moved to Grand Rapids, MI, to begin oral surgery practice.Dr. Schultz is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and a member of numerous professional organizations: American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, American Association of Dental Anesthesiology and numerous dental implant societies. He was elected to the American College of Dentists and has served as past president of the West Michigan Dental Society. Dr. Schultz has been an instructor of anatomy and embryology at Grand Rapids Community College’s Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs. He maintains privileges at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids.
