A Georgia native from Savannah, Dr. Morrison received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he graduated cum laude. He attended medical school in Atlanta, Georgia at the Emory University School of Medicine and was a resident at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where he went on to complete a fellowship in spinal deformity and scoliosis. Polaris Spine & Neurosurgery welcomed Dr. Morrison to the practice in 2004.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Morrison earned his neurosurgery board certification by passing the American Board of Neurosurgery exams in 2008, and he continues to learn and develop his medical education as well as author publications on advancements in surgical techniques, serving as Principal Investigator for a research study on the effect of various implants on kyphosis following long-instrumented spinal fusion.
