Johnson City native Dr. Tom Huddleston received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, followed by a year of fellowship training in adult reconstructive surgery with emphasis on joint replacement and revision joint replacement at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Huddleston then returned to Johnson City with his family and joined Appalachian Orthopaedic Associates.

Dr. Huddleston is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a clinical professor in the department of surgery at East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine.
